She has outspent her Democratic opponent, former governor and the current state Attorney General Jerry Brown, 86 to 1, -- like winning the race is all about the money, baby.

Ms. Whitman has blanketed the California media with negative ads. She has hired high priced consultants -- because she can.

Ms Whitman, trailing Mr. Brown after she has spent a huge bank, some folks say shows how smart the people of California are, and shows that California folks can see beyond the money, and the slick ads, and the consultants white teeth.

Well, it all goes to prove that sometimes money can't buy happiness and it can't buy voters' souls.
