The white Mississippi Governor, Republican Governors Association (RGA) Chairman Haley Barbour, gave a back hand slap across the face of that African-American guy, Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC). He said --"We have to come up with about $10 million that normally would have been pushed into the governors' races by the RNC, largely through state parties."
No, this isn't a racial story. This is a blame the black guy story.
Mr. Barbour doesn't think much of the RNC under Mr. Steele or of Mr. Steele abilities. He has said as much, that he and the RGA have to do the job of the RNC, or the job won't get done. The RNC reported raising $5.3 million in July, less than half the nearly $12 million the DNC reported for the same period.
So, Mr. Barbour stepped into the breech, implying that he had to, to avoid disaster? So? So, donors are giving the dollars to Mr Barbour's group and are in large part shunning Mr. Steele. So?
Well, the RNC under Mr. Steele has been hit with scandal, including the bondage sex club scandal . Donors money was used for staffers to entertainment themselves at a Hollywood bondage sex club
Well? So, Mr Steele isn't raising the money and Mr Barbour has to do extra duty? So? Mr Barbour ought to stop whining.
Mr. Steele ought to keep doing what he's doing. Keep up the good work. A progressive, such as myself, just love the job he's doing on / for the GOP.
