Sarah Palin? 59% says No

Add Comment

Vanity Fair has published a new  '60 Minutes'/Vanity Fair poll that says 59 percent of the  American people think that Sarah Palin is not fit to be president of the United States. 26% thinks she is.

My take on this poll? What's wrong with that 26%?

To the question: "Do you think SARAH PALIN would have the ability to be an EFFECTIVE PRESIDENT?" 40 percent of the Republicans said NO. 47% have lost their minds. 47% said yes.

This Vanity Fair poll asks a lot of other questions, including ones about celebrities, cultural figures, topics, such as belief in UFOs, ghosts and big foot, which are not the subject of this post.

Last week another gay bashing Republican came out of the closet and now is asking for understanding.

Bush Speechwriter: Tea Party's Toxic

Michael GersonMichael GersonFormer Bush Speechwriter Michael Gerson says that the Tea Party is toxic and that the GOP's embrace of the Tea Party will be fatal to the GOP.

Last week, Mr. Gerson warned in an op-ed column in the Washington Post that Tea Party opposition to Social Security and Medicare, opposition to Immigration, and its constant harping on guns, and hinting that armed resistance is an acceptable response to government action that they do not like, will cause America to turn away from the GOP.

Sarah Taking Them For All She Can Get

Remember earlier this year, when college students found in the trash part of Sarah Palin's contract to speak at their university? And the secret contract showed Ms Palin demanding big bucks to speak and rock star treatment? Remember that Ms Palin mocked the disclosure, saying those demands weren't true? Well, it looks like Ms. Palin wasn't telling the truth. Because, finally, after a court order, America got to see how expensive it was for a public institution to invited Ms, Sarah Palin to deliver one of her Palin whines.

It's true!  Limbaugh has proclaimed himself to be "a scientist."  In a recent show, Limbaugh pontificated on the fact that he was right, because oil-eating microbes have been discovered in the Gulf.

Joe MillerJoe MillerWhat a wacko group of wing-nuts, the Tea Party has served up to carry the GOP brand into the November elections. What an anti-Social Security, anti-Education Department, anti-unemployment benefits, anti-Constitution (They're against a whole lot of it, nearly all of it, when it gives rights to people unlike themselves).

Sharron Angle, Rand Paul and now Joe Miller. (if his lead survives the absentee ballot count)

Joe Miller maybe the most wacko of the lot.

Criticizing Democrats Too

Add Comment

The supporters of building the Islamic center, the Cordoba House, near New York's Ground Zero have put out a web video that links Democrats, who have questioned; the near ground zero location for a mosque, thus wavering on First Amendment and property rights for American Muslims, and that links Republican Islamaphobic zealots, who have stirred and served to the American public a hateful brew -- links members of both major parties with the horrific stabbing of the New York City Muslim cabbie by a hate crazed bigot.

"Hate begets hate, "is one message of the video. Another is that enablers are just as guilty as perpetrators. Prominent Democratic politicians, with their eyes on the public opinion polls and not on the U.S. Constitution, are aiding the bigots, just as are the anti-American Muslim Republican rabble.

Islamaphobia Is Politically Driven

Add Comment

The question of the week is: Is America Growing Islamaphobic?

My answer is: Yes. It is.

Why is it ?

The answer is: It is an election year.

This outbreak of Islamaphobia is master minded by the very not unseen hands, but by the very public hands of the right-wing news entertainment media, by the entertainers on Fox cable news, the provocative guys and gals, who say and do the most outrageous things to get an audience. Yes, Fox and shills on right-wing talk radio. Also, that party of those not funny jokers of the GOP.

How else can you explain the hot and angry, nasty and ugly,  debate over whether to build a mosque near Ground Zero? How else can you explain the violent opposition to against new mosques in other parts of the country?

Ken MehlmanKen MehlmanFormer GOP Big wig confirms, GOP Party of haters

As if it was a big secret, Ken Mehlman, the former chairman of the RNC, the Republican National Committee, and the Bush/Cheney campaign manager in 2004, confessed that hate is a large part of what the GOP does and has done for decades to win elections. See the video.

First, it was putting the hate on African-Americans, then on gays, and now on immigrants and American Muslims, who so far number seven million folks.

Mr. Mehlman, who this week came out and announced that he was gay, confessed the sins of the GOP, and of his own sins against gay people, done when he was a big honcho with the Republican party.
